The times differ from another app or table by a few minutes
Predictions from different sources are computed with different sets of harmonic constants, rounding and reference stations, so a difference of a few minutes or centimetres is normal. Each station page shows its data source, datum and the accuracy we measured against official predictions.
I think a tide is wrong
Open the station, tap “Station info”, then “Report inaccuracy”. Choose the date and what looks wrong. We check every report when we update the tide data. Only the station, date, type and your note are sent — never your location.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Tides, the calendar, widgets, alerts and your fishing log all work without a connection.
Moving to a new iPhone
Free: Settings → Backup & restore → Export backup file, then open the file on the new iPhone. Pro: turn on iCloud sync on both devices with the same Apple Account.
Restoring Pro
Settings → Restore purchases. Pro is a one-time purchase and works for your Family Sharing group.
Korean 물때 (7 or 8 system)
Settings → 물때 system lets you choose the 7물때식 (west coast) or 8물때식 (south coast) default. Each Korean station can also be set individually.
Widgets are not updating
Open TideCatch once after installing or changing stations. iOS limits how often widgets refresh; the countdown still updates by itself.
Turning off statistics and deleting data
Settings → Anonymous statistics turns off usage statistics. Deleting the app deletes all data on your device. To delete server-side statistics, send us the installation ID shown in Settings.
